Welcome! Point Cabins is a lakeside retreat on Lake Kashwakamak, a pristine 15 km freshwater lake nestled between Ottawa and Toronto. Once a century-old fishing lodge, the property has been lovingly restored since its new ownership in 2020 and is now ready to host the best family getaways, birthday celebrations, and weekends with friends.
Located on the quiet eastern side of the lake and mostly bordered by crown land, the retreat has 2 separate distinct properties.
The 4 cabins sit on a spacious, breezy two-acre point surrounded by water, It features four original log cabins with its own private waterfront, private boardwalk with 4 docks and a boat launch. Guests enjoy wide-open views, fewer bugs, and the comfort of a locked driveway gate reserved just for your group. Whether you are swimming, paddling, stargazing, or gathering by the fire, Point Cabins is made for easy, memorable escapes. Small dogs are welcome too.
Around the corner sits a beautiful 4 season fully renovated private cottage with brand new oversized composite deck and 2 docks at the private waterfront, all on it’s own 1 acre lot with it’s own private waterfront and driveway.
Group stays with family and friends are made easy with our log cabins, perfect for shared time and separate space.

The Cottage

Try cliff jumping or swing out over the lake on the Tarzan swing,
both accessible by boat.Fish from the dock and enjoy a relaxing time by the water.
Paddle the lake with kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddle boards,
or a paddle boat.Explore the trails, including the painted-rock path “Fairy Land”,
or stroll around the two-acre property.Jump off the farthest dock, or wade in from the gradual, sandy entry near Cabin #1.
Launch your boat right from the property on our private boat launch and head straight onto the lake.
Catch the sunrise and sunset from different spots on the point, with water views in every direction.
Follow the boardwalk that links all four docks—perfect for sunset walks or early morning paddles.
